Sections finalised at Kelly Farm for Round five.
As Sunday approaches and the weather forecasters are optimistic about the whole weekend, all focus turns to Kelly Farm which was bathed in bright sunshine this afternoon when the final section preparation took place.
Led by Assistant Clerk of the Course Nick Hunt, the twelve sections have been tweaked ready for the action on Sunday. All twelve are remarkably dry considering the recent rainfall in the area and most of the intended hazards have been used to their full potential.
Our picture shows Section Five, which has been the opening hazard in recent years, viewed from the main spectator area which is easily accessible from the Car Park.
An entry of sixty of the best riders in the country will take part, with a pleasing forty in the ACU Trial Expert Class , where once again, the aim is to give Centre Experts a challenging, but sensible day out and still take marks from the leading series contenders.
The ACU Trial 2 Class will ride five of the ACU Trial GB sections featuring numbers one, three, five, seven and eleven and it is anticipated that this will be slightly harder than the previous round at Tynemouth.
The action starts at 9.30am and the route is marked from the A 382 at Bovey Tracey.
