Price egdes away in Series.

By virtue of two straight wins at the Tyemouth event, which formed rounds three and four of the Championship, Jack Price (Gas Gas) has edged out an eleven point lead in the ACU Trial GB Class as the series approaches the half way stage.
However, it was not easy wins and he was under pressure on both days, with his main title challenger Toby Martyn (Beta) sharing the lead on twenty four marks at the end of the three laps on the first day. With both recording twenty eight cleans in the thirty six sections, Price edged the win with one more single "dab". Three consistent laps from Jack Peace (Sherco) put him in third, just holding off a late challenge from Iwan Roberts (TRRS). Roberts was the talk of the paddock at the end as he completed the final tour for a single mark. However, earlier laps of twenty four and fifteen kept him off the podium. Double failures at the steep, straight climb at section eight dented Dan Peace's (Sherco) card and he had to settle for fifth.
A modified section two on Sunday caught Price for an early failure but fought back over nine completely new sections to trail a determined Dan Peace (pictured) by four marks at the end of lap one. Peace held onto the lead after two tours, but two bouts of footing, plus four singles left the door open for Price - and he took the opportunity, with a total of five on the final lap.
Jack Peace finished just one mark adrift of his brother for third, Martyn was fourth and Roberts was the best of the rest in fifth - but twenty one marks adrift.
In the Series, Price has a clear lead from Martyn, the Peace's are third and fourth and Billy Green (Montesa) is holding onto fifth ahead of Roberts, who is sharing the spot with Andy Chilton (Scorpa). Jack Sheppard (Sherco) missed the opening round has climbed to eighth in a battle with Hugo Jervis (TRRS) who suffered a wrist injury during the second lap. Current Champion, James Dabill (Beta) has slid down to tenth, having only competed in the first round.
