ACU Trial GB Championships - GEDDINGTON PREPARATIONS FOR FINAL ROUND.

GEDDINGTON PREPARATIONS FOR FINAL ROUND.

The guys at the Nene Valley Club have been extremely busy preparing the section area for the final round on September 24th, for which entries are now live on the Ride ACU website.
The sections are based in a very old Quarry area. However, the quarry is not how one would imagine. It is very long and thin, but with rideable banks for most of it's length. There are some very mature trees within so we can presume it has not be worked for many years. The paddock and parking area is accessed via a very smooth, level forest track which opens up into a large, nearly flat parking field which is adjacent to the sections.
The twelve planned sections consists of climbs in addition to rocks and for spectators viewing is made simple with a dedicated path right through the base of the quarry.
Our picture shows Clerk of the Course, Tony Jones with Jack Lee and his son George together with Series Manager Brian Higgins.
Following a recent visit, Higgins commented, " The area is completely different to what we expect with quarry type sections. The guys at Nene Valley have put a lot of thought into the routes and indeed the whole event. For spectators, there is likely to be a music based sound system near to the final sections where Wayne Kershaw will be updating fans on riders progress throughout the day.
The event starts at 9.30am and will be signposted from the A43, North of Kettering.
