TWO CHAMPIONS CROWNED.
Jack Peace (Sherco) clinched his first ACU Trial GB title at the penultimate round at Rock & Hop earlier today. In a very close finish his second place , just one mark behind winner Toby Martyn (Montesa Honda) was enough to give him the title with Harry Hemingway (Beta) just one mark further adrift.
Riding a 125cc machine all year, George Hemingway (Beta) once again took the 125 Youth award and gained enough points to clinch the Trial 2 title having held the red plate since round three. Again, a very close contest resulted with Andy Chilton (Scorpa) coming out on top with James Fry (Sherco) continuing his season long good form to take second after winning the tie break with the youngest Hemingway by a single clean.
Ensuring the Trial Expert class will go to the last round on the 24th September, Brad Bullock (Beta) scored a ten point win over his arch rival Dan Thorpe (Gas Gas) with Emma Bristow (Sherco) returning to the podium in third.
Harison Skelton (Scorpa) turned the Trial 125 class upside down with a one mark victory. Going into the round trailing Harry Blackwell (Beta), Skeltons title hopes and the leaders red plate for the final round were aided by Daniel Da Breo finishing second with Blackwell in third on this occasion.
The event which was witnessed by a large gathering of spectators was described by many riders as the best of the year.
We will have an in depth look at all classes on Monday
