ACU Trial GB Championships - LOWER WINNING SCORES AT ROUND FIVE

LOWER WINNING SCORES AT ROUND FIVE

Although he was headed by local idol Billy Green (Scorpa) at the end of the opening lap, Jack Peace (Sherco) lost a total of fifteen marks to win the fifth round of the series held on the Western slopes of Dartmoor today. Green's lap scores of 2-15- 4 reflected the fact that a short sharp shower blew across the open moorland towards the end of lap two compared to the winners 4-9-2. Our thanks to Trial Media for the section twelve image of the winner.
Harry Hemingway (Beta) recovered from the crash of the day early on lap one to finish in third on a total of twenty four marks.
By virtue of a stunning last lap shedding just six marks, George Hemingway (Beta) scored a convincing win over James Fry (Sherco) in the Trial 2 class with Oliver Smith (TRRS) a further two marks adrift in third.
With his arch rival Brad Bullock (Beta) being pushed down to fourth, Dan Thorpe (GasGas) has edged clear in the Trial Expert class with three rounds remaining. Charlie Smith (Vertigo) made his first visit to the podium this year to finish second, just squeezing out Sam Beecroft-Penny (TRRS) into third.
Taking the win and the all important best lap bonus point, Harison Skelton (Scorpa) has now drawn level with Harry Blackwell (Beta) in the Trial 125 category. Daniel Da Breo (GasGas) had a poor day by his standards, to finish in third.
We will take a more in depth look at each class here tomorrow.
