Rider Profile - Aldis Blacker
Over the next few months on this site we will look at riders who have committed to the series for 2019 - probably around three per week.
This week we start with Aldis Blacker who intends to complete the whole series on his Gas Gas machine. He is pictured by Colin Bullock prior to the start of the first round in March and was probably one of the further rounds for Aldis to travel from his home town of Boroughbridge, close to the A1 in Yorkshire.
Aldis started riding motorcycles at the age of four and by the time he was six had ridden in his first competition on a Yamaha TY80 which was the "in machine" at that time. This was following in the footsteps of his Father and Brother and in the 2007 season Aldis won the Richmond British National on his trusted Yamaha.
Living in Yorkshire, it is no great surprise that his all time favourite is Dougie Lampkin and again, hailing from Yorkshire, it is no big surprise that his favourite sections are streams and BIG steps!
Aldis scored a fourteenth place in round one this year with three consistent laps of 15,16 and 12 in his 43 mark total. He is sure to be a consistent points scorer in the ACU Trial Expert class and breaking into the top ten should happen during the season.
