Gas Gas take command for Manufacturers Trophy
With a first, second and third in the three points scoring categories, Gas Gas have edged out a healthy lead after round seven which took place last weekend.
Jack Price's win is well documented in the MacKenzie Trial, but he was adequately backed up by Dan Thorpe's second in the ACU Trial Expert Class whilst Richard Sadler finished third in the ACU Trial 2 class giving a total of fifty two points for the day.
By virtue of two wins at the Yeadon Guiseley organised event, TRRS now edge into second with Beta just three points in arrears in third with two important rounds to go. Double class wins by Ross Danby (ACU Trial 2) and Chris Stay (ACU Expert) made a huge difference and backed up by Iwan Roberts seventh in the ACU Trial GB class, the Spanish marque have always been in contention.
Sherco currently hold a very comfortable fourth place in the standings. Thanks to consistent scoring rides by Andy Chilton - pictured at Brimham Rocks - Scorpa now take over fifth spot from Montesa who have sadly been missing an ACU Trial 2 rider since the opening round which has had an impact on their standings.
Just two rounds now remain with the double header weekend at Dunlop in Scotland on the weekend of the 14th and 15th September.
