Four wins for red plate holders
All four of the class leaders coming into round seven of the championship which was held today at Brimham Rocks won their respective classes and therefore extended their lead in the series.
In a tough day with high scores compared to previous rounds, three consistent laps was enough to give Jack Price (Gas Gas) another win from on form Jack Peace (Sherco) who managed to edge current champion, James Dabill (Beta) onto the lower step of the podium.
However, the talk of the paddock at the end of the thirty six section event was ACU Trial 2 winner, Ross Danby (TRRS) whose miserly seven mark score did not reflect the true severity of the sections. He finished eleven in front of previous round winner, Tom Minta (Scorpa) who in turn was a further ten clear of Richard Sadler (Gas Gas) in third.
It could not have been tighter in the ACU Trial Expert Class with just three marks separating the podium places. Chris Stay (TRRS) worked hard to edge the win from Dan Thorpe (Gas Gas) who was unlucky to knock out a marker on the penultimate section. Early leader Martin Crosswaite (Montesa) lead handsomely after two laps but bike fatigue set in on the final tour and three consecutive failures demoted him to third.
Ben Dignan (Gas Gas) continues to dominate the ACU Trial 125 Class.
