Round six with a view
Clerk of the Course, Anthony Brockbank has been putting the final touches to the sections for round seven which incorporates the Lakes Trial on Sunday.
Our image, taken today, shows this is a longer lap than normal, probably around 4kms. This view, taken from section seven looking back across the fells to sections six and ten, clearly shows the lap will include some moorland going - and it is wet in places. The image also shows Lake Windermere in the background.
The action will start with four sections in a beck before reaching some rock outcrops on the higher part of the course for sections five and six. Then it is a trek across the fells to the rock outcrop of seven, two stream sections at eight and nine, before the return leg to the main area for two spectacular outcrop sections at ten and twelve with another beck section at eleven.
We will post details of the ACU Trial 2 sections here tomorrow once they are confirmed by Anthony.
