Attention turns to Round Six - Lakes Trial.
Although it is currently classed as a summer break in the series, we need to be mindful that the Championship continues in five weeks time with the Westmorland organised Lakes Trial on the 28th July.
A hitherto unused venue for a major British Championship event, the Keedwell ACU Trial GB series heads off to Poole Bank Farm, Troutbeck, which is situated in the countryside high above Windermere.
Clerk of the Course Anthony Brockbank has designed a varied twelve section course which for the first time this year will utilise some beck sections with flowing water, before the entry will head off across the fells to a couple of distant sections to spread the lap out and then back onto some rock outcrops above the paddock area. Troutbeck is relatively easy to get to, with a main road and just twenty miles from the M6 at Kendal.
Entries are now open on the Ride ACU website and Event Secretary Steve Dent is poised ready to click your acknowledgment.
Our picture shows Anthony examining one of the rock outcrops which is likely to be used by the ACU Trial GB Class.
Further details of the event will be posted in the coming weeks.
